Issue #016 — Body Positivity: Confidence Has No Size

Posted by Kameron Kash, Founder & CEO on Oct 17th 2026

Some guys walk into a room and own it.

Others spend the entire time wondering what people notice about their bodies.

The stomach.

The chest.

The thighs.

The way their shirt fits.

The way their underwear looks underneath their clothes.

And sometimes, the hardest part isn't what anyone else thinks.

It's what you think about yourself.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The Pressure to Look a Certain Way

Scroll through social media.

Look at underwear advertising.

Watch the guys who get featured in magazines, campaigns, and fitness videos.

The message can start to feel pretty familiar.

Flat stomach. Broad shoulders. Defined abs. Muscular legs. The right proportions.

As if there's one particular way a man is supposed to look.

And if your body doesn't match that picture?

It's easy to start thinking you need to fix something before you can feel good about yourself.

Maybe you tell yourself you'll buy better underwear after you lose some weight.

Maybe you avoid certain styles because you don't think they'll look right on your body.

Maybe you change in a locker room as quickly as possible.

Or maybe you've gotten so used to making jokes about your body that you don't even notice when those jokes stop being funny.

Here's the thing.

You don't have to pretend you love every inch of yourself every single day.

But you also don't have to spend your life treating your body like a problem that needs solving.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Real Bodies. Different Shapes.

Not every guy is built the same.

Some are lean. Some are muscular. Some have a little extra around the middle. Some have big thighs, broad hips, thick legs, or a body that carries its weight differently.

Some guys proudly call themselves bears.

Others simply call themselves big guys.

And plenty of men don't fit neatly into any one category.

That's real life.

Your body doesn't have to fit a label to deserve good clothes, comfortable underwear, or a little attention to personal style.

You don't need a six-pack to enjoy a great-looking pair of briefs.

You don't need a certain waist size to wear something that makes you feel attractive.

And you don't need to look like an underwear model to enjoy wearing underwear you actually like.

Your body is not a prerequisite you have to meet before you get to enjoy your style.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The Underwear Problem Nobody Talks About Enough

Let's get practical.

Underwear can make a real difference in how comfortable you feel throughout the day.

But finding the right fit isn't always simple.

A waistband that digs in.

Leg openings that feel too tight.

Fabric that rides up.

A pouch that doesn't fit the way you want it to.

A cut that looks great on a product photo but doesn't feel right on your body.

Those frustrations aren't a personal failure.

Sometimes, the style is wrong for you. Sometimes, the sizing isn't right. Sometimes, you just need to try a different cut, fabric, or brand.

That's why fit matters.

Not because your body needs to be corrected.

Because your underwear should work for the body you have.

Look for the fit that feels comfortable. Choose the support you prefer. Find fabrics that feel good against your skin. Pay attention to what works when you're moving, sitting, working, or relaxing.

And don't assume you have to settle for something uncomfortable just because your body is bigger than the model wearing it.

The goal isn't to fit your body into the underwear. It's to find underwear that fits your body.

Bears, Big Guys, and Taking Up Space

There's something worth saying about bigger men and the way they're represented.

Too often, the bigger guy is the punchline.

The sidekick.

The guy who is expected to be funny about his size before anyone else gets the chance to comment on it.

And when it comes to underwear and fashion, bigger bodies can feel like an afterthought.

But being a bigger guy doesn't mean you have to disappear into oversized clothes or choose the plainest option available.

You can care about how you look.

You can enjoy color, style, support, and a great fit.

You can wear something bold.

You can be a bear who loves classic briefs, a bigger guy who prefers trunks, or a man who wants to try a style he's always thought looked good on someone else.

You get to decide what feels like you.

That's one reason our Bear Sizes section matters.

It's about making room for bigger guys to explore underwear styles that suit them, without suggesting they need to hide their bodies or wait until they change.

You deserve options now.

Not someday.

Not after a number on a scale changes.

Now.

Confidence Doesn't Have to Come First

Here's a little secret: you don't always have to feel confident before you do something that makes you feel good.

Sometimes, confidence comes afterward.

You try a different cut of underwear.

You buy the shirt you actually like instead of the one you think makes you look smaller.

You stop pulling at your clothes every time you sit down.

You look in the mirror and, instead of immediately listing everything you want to change, you notice one thing you genuinely like.

It doesn't have to be a dramatic transformation.

You don't have to wake up tomorrow with a completely different attitude toward your body.

You can start smaller.

Wear something comfortable.

Choose a style that makes you feel good.

Stop apologizing for taking up space.

And give yourself permission to enjoy the experience without turning it into another test you have to pass.

Confidence isn't always a big entrance.

Sometimes, it's simply not spending the whole day worrying about how you look.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

You Don't Have to Change First

Let's be clear about something.

Body positivity doesn't mean you have to love every part of your appearance every day.

It doesn't mean you can't have fitness goals, change your style, or want something different for yourself.

You can work toward personal goals without treating the person you are today as someone who isn't good enough.

You can want change without making your happiness conditional on it.

And you can take care of yourself without punishing yourself for the body you have right now.

Those things can exist together.

Because there's a difference between wanting to change something and believing you don't deserve to feel good until you do.

That difference matters.

Especially when it comes to something as personal as getting dressed, choosing underwear, or feeling comfortable in your own skin.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The Bottom Line

You don't need the perfect body to find the right fit.

You don't need a certain waistline to enjoy a style that catches your eye.

And you don't need anyone else's permission to feel good about yourself.

Big guys. Bears. Thick thighs. Bigger bellies. Every shape, every size, every stage of life.

There's room for you here.

Find what fits.

Wear what feels good.

Choose what makes you feel like yourself.

And stop waiting for a different body before you let yourself enjoy the one you have.

You don't have to earn the right to feel sexy by changing your body.

Confidence has no size.

And neither does your right to feel good in your own skin.

Stay confident. Stay comfortable. Be yourself.
